Media Consent and Release

Last Updated: 9/2/2025

Please take a moment to review and understand our comprehensive Media Consent and Release. Your participation in our program is contingent upon accepting the following terms:

1. Acceptance of Terms

By engaging in any Jr Hoops activities, you agree to adhere to and be bound by this Media Consent and Release document.

2. Scope of Recording

Jr Hoops may photograph, audio record, video record, and live stream league activities, including practices, games, and events.

3. License and Permitted Uses

I grant Jr Hoops a worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free license to edit, reproduce, publish, distribute, publicly display, live stream, archive, and repost my child’s image, voice, and likeness in any media now known or later developed. This includes the Jr Hoops website, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X, newsletters, highlight reels, and other promotional materials.

4. Identification Information

Jr Hoops may use basic team information such as first name, team, jersey number, division, and performance statistics.

5. No Compensation or Approval

I waive any right to payment for the use of media and any right to inspect or approve materials.

6. Public Nature of Online Content

I understand that content posted online can be shared, embedded, downloaded, or reposted by others outside the control of Jr Hoops.

7. Name Preferences

If I do not want my child’s last name used publicly, I will notify Jr Hoops in writing. This preference does not restrict photography or filming of games and events.

8. Opt-Out Limitations

Jr Hoops records the league as a whole and cannot exclude individual players from team media during games or events. Reasonable efforts may be made going forward to reduce close-ups or individual spotlights when practicable, but omission from group shots, live streams, game footage, or crowd scenes cannot be guaranteed.

9. Ownership

All recordings and photographs created by or for Jr Hoops are the property of Jr Hoops.

10. Revocation for Future Use

I may revoke this consent in writing for future, unreleased content. Revocation does not affect content already created or published in reliance on this consent.

11. Governing Law

This consent is governed by California law. Any disputes will be resolved in Los Angeles County, California.

12. Updates to Terms

Jr Hoops reserves the right to update the Media Consent and Release. You will be notified of any material changes, and your continued participation constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
